Disney Enhances Lightsabers at Savi’s Workshop
Disney has unveiled exciting new upgrades to its Savi’s Workshop lightsaber-building experience at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World, available starting October 5. The enhancements include a revamped Protection and Defense hilt design, featuring white finishes, gold detailing, and ancient Jedi symbols inspired by the High Republic era.
The updated lightsabers now boast improved chassis and blades with thermal cutting, spinning, and deflection effects, along with smoother blade activation and enhanced audio. These upgrades apply across all hilt themes, ensuring a more immersive experience for Star Wars fans.
Adding to the allure, the special cracked kyber crystals now offer a color-changing feature with a flick of the wrist, giving builders the option to switch between light and dark side colors. This new functionality adds an extra layer of customization and fun to the lightsaber-building process.
Disney encourages visitors to make reservations for the experience, as purchase is required. The new features provide another compelling reason for Star Wars enthusiasts to visit Savi’s Workshop and create their own unique lightsabers, igniting a childhood dream in a tangible way.
