Disney Expands Airport Luggage Transfer to First Moderate Resort

Walt Disney World's Airport Luggage Transfer service has expanded to its first Moderate Resort, Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. The move brings the total number of participating hotels to six, with every prior hotel on the list being a Value Resort. This marks a significant step in Disney's plans to expand the service.

The Airport Luggage Transfer lets eligible guests send checked bags directly to and from Orlando International Airport without stopping at baggage claim. Those flying in can register ahead of time and have bags delivered to their resort within about four hours of landing. Guests heading home instead drop bags at Luggage Assistance or Bell Services in the resort lobby, skipping the airline check-in line at the airport.

Despite this expansion, only American Airlines, Southwest Airlines, and United Airlines are currently covered by the service. Disney's website suggests that more airlines may join later, but no timeline is provided.
