Disney Expands Dreamers Academy into Year-Round Program with Boys & Girls Clubs
Walt Disney World has announced an expansion of its Disney Dreamers Academy program in collaboration with Boys & Girls Clubs. The program will now be a year-round, multi-year experience that reaches students earlier and provides continued mentorship and career exploration.
The initial pilot will include 200 middle school students selected by participating Boys & Girls Clubs in the Orlando, Miami, Atlanta, and Houston metropolitan areas.
Disney Dreamers Academy first launched in 2008 and has reached over 1,800 students across the country. The new program aims to provide opportunities for students to participate in virtual and in-person activities, including career workshops, mentorship with Disney cast members, and visits to Walt Disney World.
The first group of students will be announced in October, with programming beginning in January 2027.
