Disney Expands Free Airport Luggage Service to Caribbean Beach Resort
Walt Disney World has expanded its Airport Luggage Transfer (ALT) service beyond Value Resorts, adding Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort to the list of eligible properties. This move comes after a year-long wait by Moderate and Deluxe Resort guests who had eagerly anticipated further roll-out of the free baggage handling service between Orlando International Airport and onsite WDW hotels.
Launched as a pilot program in late March 2025, ALT initially only allowed guests to skip baggage claim at MCO when departing on Southwest Airlines. In November 2025, inbound service for arrivals was added, allowing guests to check their luggage at the bag drop area or ticket counter and have it directly delivered to their Walt Disney World resort.
The latest addition brings the total number of eligible resorts to six: Disney's All-Star Movies Resort, Disney's All-Star Music Resort, Disney's All-Star Sports Resort, Disney's Art of Animation Resort, Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, and Disney's Pop Century Resort. ALT is currently available for guests flying on American Airlines, Southwest Airlines, and United Airlines.
While Walt Disney World has not officially announced the addition of Delta Airlines to the service, speculation suggests that this may happen in the near future. The expansion of ALT seems to be based on guest response, with positive feedback driving the rollout of new resorts and airlines.
