The Walt Disney Company has agreed to settle a class-action lawsuit for $50 million. A federal court alleges that Disney engaged in anticompetitive practices by forcing streaming services YouTube TV and DirecTV Stream to raise their subscription prices.

Customers who purchased a YouTube TV subscription from April 1, 2019, through March 31, 2026, are eligible to file a claim. Those who purchased a DirecTV streaming live pay TV subscription during the same period may also be entitled to a payment.

The deadline for filing a claim is September 8. Eligible subscribers will receive a cash payment proportional to the length of their YouTube TV and/or DirecTV Stream subscriptions, according to the settlement website.
