Disney has filed a patent application for an AI-powered animal monitoring system that could enhance guest experiences at its Animal Kingdom theme park.
The system, described in the filing as 'Techniques for Automatically Monitoring Animal Behaviors and Generating Notifications,' would use machine learning to identify interesting or concerning animal behavior and send notifications to guests' phones, tablets, or display screens.
The application lists three inventors: Ching-Chien Chen, Isabelle Victoria Wang, and Jeremy Eaton. Eaton's Winter Garden location suggests ties to Central Florida parks, where Disney operates several theme parks.
