Disney-Fortnite Crossover Brings Exclusive Rewards to Millennium Falcon Ride

Walt Disney Imagineering and Epic Games have collaborated to bring a unique crossover experience to life at Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Starting tomorrow, guests can link their Disney accounts with their Epic Games accounts to unlock a bonus mode within Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run.

The connected experience allows rewards to carry over between the ride and the game in both directions. For example, crates collected during the mission on the ride will be waiting for them in Fortnite once they return home.

Smugglers Gambit, a new Star Wars island in Fortnite, was developed by Disney's games team in close collaboration with Lucasfilm. This new addition introduces a new planet in the Star Wars galaxy and allows guests to meet new characters, take on quests, join co-op missions, and battle pirates.

The ambition to link park storytelling with at-home experiences dates back to 2014, when Disney first started developing Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. The game and attraction updates were developed in parallel, with Epic Games' internal team working alongside Imagineering throughout the process.
