Disney Hollywood Studios Closes Vacation Fun Attraction Again
Disney’s Hollywood Studios is once again closing its Vacation Fun attraction, the Mickey & Minnie animated short in the Mickey Shorts Theater. The temporary closure begins on October 28th, just a month after the show reopened on September 28th. This marks the third closure for the attraction in 2023, following prior shutdowns in August and April.
The frequent closures have left visitors wondering about Disney’s strategy, especially since the attraction’s latest reopening was so brief. While Disney has not yet announced the reason for this closure, speculation suggests it may be related to preparations for Jollywood Nights, a holiday event starting November 7th. The event, which runs through January 5th, 2027, features unique entertainment and separately ticketed experiences.
Guests planning to visit Hollywood Studios before October 28th will have their last chance to see Vacation Fun on October 27th. The Mickey Shorts Theater has previously hosted other events, including Annual Passholder Magnet distribution and a Star Wars May the 4th Merchandise Event, indicating its flexibility for various park activities.
For those interested in Disney’s holiday offerings, Jollywood Nights promises a festive lineup, including live performances, themed sing-alongs, and a skating spectacular on Hollywood Boulevard. Tickets for the event are now available.
