Disney Imagineering Drops Second Clue in Mysterious Thief Puzzle

Walt Disney Imagineering has dropped its second clue in an ongoing interactive puzzle that challenges fans to uncover the identity of a mysterious thief who stole a Society of Explorers and Adventurers artifact. The game is part of a fan-driven hunt that began at D23, where Imagineers revealed that a valuable S.E.A. item had been taken and left behind a trail of riddles for its recovery.

The puzzle requires fans to search online images of Disneyland to solve each riddle, which reveals a single letter from the thief's name. The letters are not given in order, so it won't be until all clues have been released that the full name will be known. Disney Imagineering has confirmed that every riddle can be solved using just online image searches, eliminating the need for fans to physically visit the parks.

The second clue dropped by WDI leans into classic Disneyland theater imagery and points to locations with references to 'a grand circle tour,' 'the view from this car is quite presidential,' and 'a perennial bloom...in red and gold as you climb the stair.' The riddle also includes a kicker: 'five as you hop aboard, but need only one to get your reward.'

The game is expected to introduce a brand new character into the S.E.A. universe once the thief's identity is fully revealed, with some fans speculating that the mystery could tie into Imagineering's previously teased plans for Matterhorn Bobsleds.
