Disney Jumps on Streaming Price Hike Bandwagon with $2.50 Increase
The Walt Disney Company has raised prices for most of its streaming services, including Disney+ and Hulu. The price hikes come as part of a trend in the industry where companies are shifting focus from subscriber additions to profitability.
The new prices increase the cost of ad-free Disney+ Premium subscriptions by 13% to $21.49 per month. Ad-supported plans for both services will see a 50-cent bump to $12.49.
Bundles combining Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN are also seeing price increases, with some plans rising by as much as $3 to $32.99. However, the ad-free Premium Unlimited Bundle remains unchanged at $44.99.
