Disney Leadership Drama Set for Page Turners in New Book
A new book about Disney's recent leadership struggles is set to be released in late 2026. The House of Mouse: Bob Iger and The War of Succession at Disney, written by veteran Wall Street Journal reporter Robbie Whelan, will provide an unauthorized examination of the last decade of leadership at the Walt Disney Company.
The book follows a tumultuous period for Disney, marked by the ousting of CEO Bob Chapek and the return of Bob Iger to the top spot. Whelan's account is based on hundreds of interviews with key figures in Iger's orbit and thousands of pages of documentary evidence.
Disney has 'disputed' the contents of The House of Mouse, hiring a prominent attorney to push back on the book. However, it appears that Whelan's work will offer an unvarnished portrait of one of the most famous CEOs of the past 50 years.
