Disney Legends Share Childhood Magic in New Documentary

A new documentary titled 'Disney Worldbuilders' is set to premiere on August 20th on Disney+, directed by Academy Award- and Emmy-nominated filmmaker Leslie Iwerks.

The film features candid conversations with some of the Walt Disney Company's most influential creative leaders, including CEO Bob Iger and his successor Josh D'Amaro. The documentary explores how these individuals' childhood experiences shaped their creative journeys and led them to become part of the Disney magic.

Iwerks wanted to understand what sparks the imagination of storytellers behind beloved stories, and discovered that many of her subjects traced their creative paths back to a single childhood moment: walking through the gates of Disneyland and realizing impossible dreams could become real.
