Disney Live Streaming Debate Highlights Concerns Over Children's Privacy

The way theme park creators film and share content has changed dramatically over the past decade. Gone are the days of filming ride POVs and vlogs at home, editing them, and posting them later that night.

With the rise of live streaming, footage is now shared in real-time to an audience of strangers with a scrolling chat attached, making it impossible to pull back once it's been shared. This shift has led to multi-hour walking streams through parks becoming their own category, with several streams running simultaneously on any given day.

While most live streaming incidents don't cause harm, a recent incident at Disney's Hollywood Studios raised concerns about the impact of live streaming on children in public areas. A parent reported being uncomfortable with a grown man live-streaming young kids playing in a new playground without their permission.
