Disney Logo Hits the Gridiron as UCF Knights Partner Up
The University of Central Florida (UCF) Knights football team is about to get a boost in their hometown pride. The UCF Knights, based in Orlando, will debut the Walt Disney World logo on the rear bumper of their helmets this weekend.
This collaboration between two beloved institutions comes from their shared location and strong community ties. According to Sivonne Davis, Vice President of Marketing Strategy at Walt Disney World Resort, 'UCF is an important part of our community, and we are proud to expand on our longstanding relationship in a way that celebrates the spirit of Central Florida.'
UCF Vice President and Director of Athletics Terry Mohajir expressed his appreciation for the partnership, stating, 'Walt Disney World is part of the fabric of Central Florida, and we are incredibly proud to feature its logo on our football helmets.' This relationship aims to bring together two organizations with deep roots in their community.
This isn't the only instance where the Disney brand will be featured on sports teams' gear. The Disneyland Resort logo is also part of the Anaheim Ducks' helmets, and there are other collaborations in the works.
