Disney Merges Licensing and Publishing Under New Studio Leadership
Disney is reorganizing its consumer products business to bring licensing and publishing teams closer to the studios behind popular stories. Starting October 4, Disney Consumer Products' global licensing and publishing businesses will move under Disney Entertainment, Studios. This means that teams working with outside companies on Disney products and books will sit alongside those creating the original content.
Cathleen Taff has been named President of Disney Entertainment, Studios and Consumer Products, overseeing both existing responsibilities and new licensing and publishing duties. Her role already spans films from various Disney studios, and now she'll also lead product and publishing partnerships built around these worlds.
The Disney Parks merchandise and Disney Store locations will remain under the leadership of Lisa Baldzicki, who has expanded responsibility for worldwide store locations and e-commerce platforms. She'll also head a new Global Experience & Innovation team focused on spotting ideas that can be applied across Disney Experiences.
