Disney Monorails Get Fresh Update, Reflecting Current Resort Offerings
The Walt Disney World monorail system has received an update to its recorded narration. The new script was recorded by a voice actor, not artificial intelligence, and aims to better reflect the resort's current offerings. This change is in response to outdated references that had accumulated over the years.
The updated narration includes revised descriptions of EPCOT, where references to canceled projects such as the PLAY Pavilion have been removed. Additionally, a segment featuring Walt Disney himself has been added, stating 'The heart of everything we'll be doing in Disney World will be our experimental prototype city of tomorrow. We call it EPCOT.' This is part of an effort to provide riders with more accurate information about current attractions and experiences.
The changes also include the addition of generic references to Soarin' and The Seas with Nemo and Friends, as well as a new warning against vaping. The iconic 'Please Stand Clear of the Doors' message remains unchanged, still appearing in both English and Spanish.
