Disney Moves Consumer Products Under Entertainment Studios
The Walt Disney Company is restructuring its Consumer Products division, moving most of its operations from under Disney Experiences to Disney Entertainment Studios beginning in October 2026. The move aims to create a stronger alignment between Disney's consumer products business and the Studios' creative teams developing content that drives merchandise and licensing opportunities.
The company emphasizes the importance of cohesion across the entire Disney ecosystem, stating that 'storytelling, commerce, and experiences come together from the very beginning.'
No changes to leadership have been announced, but the restructuring comes after Lisa Baldzicki was promoted to president of Disney Consumer Products in February as part of a broader leadership reorganization.
