Disney Names Adam Smith to Lead Direct-to-Consumer Business
Disney has appointed Adam Smith as Chairman of its Direct-to-Consumer business. In this role, he will oversee Disney's global entertainment streaming platforms, including Disney+ and Hulu, in addition to emerging technologies like advertising tech.
Smith joined Disney in 2024 and has been instrumental in transforming the company's direct-to-consumer business. He previously served as Co-President of Direct-to-Consumer and Chief Product & Technology Officer for Disney Entertainment and ESPN.
Joe Earley, who will assume a new role as President of Disney Entertainment Television Franchise and Content Strategy, will lead strategic development for Disney's entertainment television franchises, including content production and labor relations.
