Disney Names Karandeep Anand as New CTO to Drive Tech Strategy
The Walt Disney Company has appointed Karandeep Anand as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO), effective October 2. Anand, a technology leader with experience at Meta and Microsoft, previously served as CEO of Character.ai.
In his new role, Anand will oversee enterprise technology, infrastructure, data, AI platforms, product, and engineering across the company. He will also bring several members of Character.ai's team to Disney.
The appointment is part of Disney's efforts to advance its tech strategy and strengthen its ability to serve fans worldwide, according to CEO Josh D'Amaro. Anand brings a unique blend of experience in infrastructure, consumer technology, and AI, which will be valuable assets for the company.
