Disney Names Melissa Stone Senior VP of Publicity

Melissa Stone has been named senior VP of publicity for Walt Disney Studios. As part of her new role, she will lead the publicity team and oversee the PR strategy across various divisions including Disney Live Action, Disney Animation, Pixar, Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm, and 20th Century Studios.

Stone's responsibilities also extend to Disney+ streaming series. She will report directly to Martha Morrison, president of marketing at the studio.

'I'm thrilled to have Melissa step into this role,' Morrison said in a statement. 'She brings more than two decades of exceptional publicity experience, a deep network of talent and media relationships, and a proven ability to lead campaigns that drive both audience engagement and cultural impact.'
