The Walt Disney Company is offering voluntary early retirement packages to longtime executives amid its restructuring efforts. The move, outlined in an internal email by Chief People Officer Sonia Coleman, targets tenured executives with at least 10 years of service and a minimum age of 50, who are based in the U.S. in roles ranging from director to executive vice president.

To be eligible, employees must have 65 points, calculated as their age plus years of service. The offer includes separation pay, continued vesting of equity awards, healthcare support at active employee rates, and access to the Silver Pass. Eligible executives will receive separate communications specifying details of the offer, including an election process and important dates.

The voluntary early retirement program is part of Disney's broader restructuring efforts, which include involuntary staff reductions underway in some parts of the company. The move aims to give eligible employees a chance to make a decision on their own terms before Disney proceeds with finalizing organizational decisions.
