Disney+ Orders 'Spaceship Earth' Series Inspired by Epcot Ride

Disney+ is working on a new TV series called 'Spaceship Earth' inspired by the ride of the same name at Walt Disney World's EPCOT theme park.

The show, from 20th Television, follows a group of teenagers from different time periods as they join forces to prevent a global catastrophe.

Showrunner Jason Fuchs will executive-produce alongside Michael Waldron, Adam Fischbah, and director Lee Tolant Krieger.

The series marks the first time a Disney Parks attraction has been turned into a TV show. However, Disney has a history of adapting its theme park rides into movies, including 'Tower of Terror', 'Mission to Mars', 'The Country Bears', 'Tomorrowland', and 'Jungle Cruise'.
