Disney Parks Unveil Fresh Details on Monstropolis and Carousel of Progress

Walt Disney Presents at Disney's Hollywood Studios has been updated with new displays showcasing two highly anticipated projects: Monstropolis and the refreshed Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress.

The Monstropolis section now features fresh concept art and display items, including a showstopper piece of concept art for the Glob Theater lobby. This will be the home of the new show 'Welcome to Monstropolis! With Sulley and Mike.'

Additional artwork reveals other areas of the land, such as the entrance to Monstropolis, Harryhausen's restaurant, and more from the Welcome to Monstropolis show itself.

The display also includes four maquettes of 'monsterfied' street creatures designed by Imagineering and Pixar to bring personality and humor to the streets of Monstropolis. A laugh canister is on display, hinting at theming elements from the land's main attraction, the Monsters, Inc. Door Vault.

The Carousel of Progress updates feature actual costumes for the refreshed Father and Mother characters, including Father's Act I costume from 1969 and Mother's futuristic Act IV costume.
