Disney Power Struggle Exposed in Upcoming Book
A new book about The Walt Disney Company's power struggles is set to release on December 1, 2026. Titled 'The House of Mouse: Bob Iger and the War of Disney Succession', it was written by Wall Street Journal reporter Robbie Whelan.
The book promises to provide an in-depth look at the last few years at the top of Disney, including the four major mergers that took place during Iger's tenure as CEO: Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm, and 20th Century Fox.
The information is based on hundreds of interviews with key figures, corporate communications, and internal memos that have never been reported before. The book will also cover the complex relationship between Bob Iger and Ike Perlmutter, the head of Marvel when Disney acquired it.
