Disney Replaces Historic Railroad Medallions with Generic Character Designs

Walt Disney World Resort has quietly swapped out steam train-themed medallions at the Walt Disney World Railroad station on Main Street, U.S.A. in Magic Kingdom Park with generic character designs.

This change comes just hours after guests noticed the removal of a vintage 'Metropolis' penny arcade machine from the same station.

The new medallions feature standard illustrations of Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, and Donald Duck, whereas the previous ones were tied to specific steam trains running through the park.
