Disney+ Revs Up with Exclusive Formula E Broadcast Deal
The Walt Disney Company has signed a multi-year deal with Formula E to broadcast all races on its streaming services, including Disney+ and ESPN+. The agreement will bring comprehensive coverage of every event to subscribers in the U.S. and most international markets starting from the 2026/27 season.
According to Joe Earley, Co-President, Direct-to-Consumer, Disney Entertainment, Formula E combines world-class competition, groundbreaking technology, and sustainability, making it a unique sport that will captivate fans around the globe.
The new deal comes as Formula E enters its GEN4 era, featuring the fastest and most powerful cars in its history, capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in approximately 1.8 seconds. The season will consist of 21 rounds across 13 events in iconic cities worldwide, including Jeddah, Saudi Arabia; Austin, Miami, Monaco, and Mexico City.
The agreement marks a new chapter for sports fans on Disney+, which already offers a range of global live programming, including the FIFA World Cup and select LALIGA football rights. With this deal, subscribers will have access to preview and review shows, practice, qualifying, and race sessions, as well as highlights from every event.
