Disney Skyliner Closes for Annual Winter Refurbishment

The Disney Skyliner gondola system at Walt Disney World will undergo its annual refurbishment from January 24th through February 2nd, 2028. This marks a familiar pattern for the transportation system, which typically closes for routine maintenance during the winter months.

During this time, complimentary bus transportation will be provided to all connected resorts and stations. The closure affects the entire Disney Skyliner network, which connects Disney's Hollywood Studios and EPCOT with several on-site hotels.

The system has accumulated over 1 million miles of travel since its debut in 2019 and features more than 300 gondolas, including those themed to beloved attractions and films. This annual refurbishment is now a well-established part of the Disney Skyliner's maintenance schedule.
