Disney Skyliner Closes for Seven Days in Late January 2027
The Disney Skyliner gondola system will be closed for scheduled maintenance from January 24 to January 30, 2027. This annual shutdown affects four resorts that rely heavily on the Skyliner for transportation: Pop Century Resort, Art of Animation Resort, Caribbean Beach Resort, and Riviera Resort.
The closure means guests at these resorts will have to use buses instead of gondolas to travel between parks and their hotels. Disney is providing free bus transportation during this time, but some guests may find the change in transportation convenient for certain destinations.
Riviera Resort guests might even benefit from the direct bus service to Hollywood Studios, which could be faster than transferring at Caribbean Beach on the Skyliner. However, other guests may lose a shortcut or convenience with the closure of the gondola system.
