The face painting kiosk at Disney Springs will close permanently on September 26, marking the end of an activity that provided a much-needed break for parents with young children. The kiosk, run by Enjoy Your Face, has been in operation but will shut down without any explanation from Disney. This closure may come as a surprise to families who have relied on face painting as a way to keep their kids occupied during long afternoons at the shopping and entertainment district.

The reason for its importance lies not in the souvenir it provided, but in the 15-20 minutes of adult attention it offered. Unlike other activities in Disney Springs, such as running through splash fountains or building with LEGO bricks, face painting allowed children to be engaged while parents took a break. This 'pressure valve' was crucial for families, especially during hour-long afternoons at the district.

Interestingly, this closure is separate from seven construction permits filed by Disney on September 22. These permits cover various locations within Disney Springs, including The LEGO Store and Happy Hound, but do not seem to be directly related to the face painting kiosk's closure.
