Disney Taps Karandeep Anand as Chief Technology Officer
Karandeep Anand, a seasoned technology executive from Character.AI, is joining Disney as its new Chief Technology Officer. He will oversee enterprise technology, infrastructure, data and AI platforms, product and engineering operations. Anand brings extensive experience in consumer AI and cloud computing, having spent 15 years at Microsoft and holding senior roles at Meta and Brex.
Anand's appointment comes as Disney focuses on modernizing its technology systems and developing more connected experiences for fans. The company sees technology as a key driver of growth, with Disney+ playing a central role in this strategy.
As CEO of Character.AI, Anand led the development of an AI platform that interacted with users through digital characters. This experience has given him expertise in consumer artificial intelligence and shaped his approach to product development.
