Disney Taps YouTube Giant for New Content Push
Disney has made a significant move in its streaming push by signing a deal with Like Nastya, a popular YouTube entity that boasts an impressive 275 billion lifetime views and over 450 million subscribers. The entity owns up to 25 YouTube accounts in 22 languages.
The partnership aims to create content for younger audiences, specifically kids, tweens, teens, and families, which will be distributed on Disney+ and other Disney-owned platforms. This deal is part of Disney's strategy to tap into the massive following of popular creators on platforms like YouTube and Instagram.
Like Nastya is not the only creator that Disney has partnered with; the media giant has also signed deals with Dhar Mann Studios, Gracie's Corner, and Lenny Pearce. Additionally, Disney announced a content-sharing deal with TikTok, allowing creators to use Disney's content for short-form videos.
Anna Radzinskaia, founder of Like Nastya and mother of Nastya, expressed her pride in the brand's global success, stating: 'I'm incredibly proud of Anastasiia and how 'Like Nastya' has grown into a global brand loved by millions of families worldwide. Bringing together the worlds of 'Like Nastya' and Disney is an exciting opportunity to create something truly special for a new generation.'
