Disney Teams Up with UK Studio for New Self-Published Game

Frontier Developments has partnered with Disney to create and self-publish a new game built around Disney's intellectual property portfolio. The project falls under the Creative Management Simulation (CMS) genre, which has defined Frontier's output in recent years.

The studio will cover all development costs itself, rather than operating under a third-party publishing arrangement.

Frontier holds both developer and publisher responsibilities for the project, a notable distinction from a typical licensed game arrangement.

This isn't Frontier's first collaboration with Disney; they released Disneyland Adventures in 2011 alongside Microsoft Studios and Disney. The studio has self-published its titles for roughly the past decade.
