Disney Teams with Vidio on Indonesian Subscription Bundle
Disney has partnered with Indonesian streaming platform Vidio to offer a new subscription bundle. The Vidio Ultimate Disney+ All Screen Bundle combines Disney's TV shows and movies with Vidio's rights to international sports, including English Premier League, UEFA Champions League, and BRI Super League. This move is part of Disney's effort to expand its output of international production, aiming for 60 to 70 international original series over the next three years.
The bundle will be available as a standalone subscription within Vidio's platform, featuring samples of popular Disney programming with regional content. This 'funnel' aims to entice Vidio subscribers to upgrade to the Disney+/Vidio bundle. Additionally, a reciprocal arrangement is being developed to give Disney+ subscribers access to certain Vidio originals and Indonesian soap operas.
Vidio CEO Sutanto Hartono stated that 'audiences are looking for greater choice and better value from their subscriptions.' This collaboration marks Disney's continued expansion into international markets, providing a unique opportunity for Indonesian audiences to enjoy both local and global content. The launch of the Vidio Ultimate Disney+ All Screen Bundle aims to cater to the evolving entertainment consumption habits of viewers.
