Disney Teases Major Theme Park Announcements at D23

Disney has been keeping fans waiting for major updates on its theme parks, and D23: the Ultimate Disney Fan Event is set to reveal some of the biggest announcements yet. One major expansion is the doubling in size of Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure, which will include two new rides: Avengers: Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab.

The former ride promises an epic battle against Thanos with riders joining the Avengers in various worlds, including Wakanda, Asgard, and New York. Meanwhile, Stark Flight Lab lets fans fly like Iron Man, utilizing a robotic arm for a dynamic simulated flight experience.

Another highly anticipated addition is Pandora: The World of Avatar, an all-new land inspired by Avatar: The Way of Water, Avatar: Fire and Ash, and upcoming Avatar 4 and Avatar 5. While the timeline for this expansion is still unclear, it's set to take over a portion of the current Hollywood Backlot area.

The Coco ride, currently under construction near Paradise Gardens Park and Pixar Pier, will also be showcased at D23. Although Disney hasn't announced an opening date or timeline yet, fans can expect a boat ride with music playing a significant role.
