Disney Ticket Prices May Rise Again as U.S. Entertainment Costs Climb
Disney theme park prices may increase again in October, according to an analysis by Disney-focused publication Mickey Visit. The analysis projects that Disneyland could raise ticket prices on October 6 or 7, based on the company's historical pricing pattern. In recent years, Disneyland has increased prices around this time, with the lowest-tier one-day ticket remaining at $104 since 2019.
The broader U.S. entertainment industry is also seeing price increases, with admission prices rising 2.9% in August from a year earlier, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. This increase is not uniform across the industry, with some individual months showing declines in admission prices due to the seasonal and variable nature of entertainment pricing.
Walt Disney World has already raised peak prices for some 2027 dates, with the highest Magic Kingdom one-day price increasing from $209 in 2026 to $219. The resort operates on a date-specific pricing structure, where prices vary depending on the selected day. Disney also continues to use promotional offers alongside higher peak prices.
Florida remains the center of the U.S. theme-park economy, with Universal's Epic Universe opening in Orlando in May 2025 after a $7 billion investment. Analysts project that Epic Universe could attract about 9.5 million visitors in 2026, while Disney's own economic-impact analysis estimates that its destinations generate more than $40 billion in economic impact in Florida and nearly $67 billion across the United States.
