Walt Disney Co. has announced that its streaming platform, Disney+, will offer the 2027 Super Bowl for the first time. The move aims to attract more viewers to what could become the most-watched television program in US history.
All Disney+ subscribers in the US will be able to stream the game live, in addition to its broadcast on Disney’s ESPN and ABC networks. Internationally, viewers will have access through either Disney+ or ESPN, depending on their region, as confirmed in a company statement on Wednesday.
The decision to include Disney+ as a streaming option reflects Disney’s strategy to expand its reach and cater to the growing preference for digital viewing experiences.
