Disney Trims Workforce with New Round of Layoffs

Disney has announced another round of layoffs, this time affecting around 300 employees. The majority of the cuts were in human resources and technology roles, according to an anonymous source.

This is not the first time Disney has made significant job cuts since CEO Josh D'Amaro took over earlier this year. In April, the company planned to eliminate up to 1,000 roles as part of its enterprise marketing division consolidation efforts.

In July, further cuts were made across corporate functions at Pixar, ESPN, Disney Entertainment Television, and Disney's studios. The majority of those layoffs occurred within Pixar and National Geographic.
