Disney Unleashes New Indy Adventure in Animal Kingdom

Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park at Walt Disney World is getting a new Indiana Jones attraction called Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent. The ride will take riders on a thrilling journey beneath an ancient temple ruin, featuring an original storyline that invites guests to step into the world of ancient Maya.

The attraction will be located in the lush new area of Tropical Americas. Harrison Ford, who played Indiana Jones in the movies, has lent his likeness for the animatronic version of Dr. Jones.

Riders will face perils like monstrous bats, larger-than-life scorpions, and snakes as they explore the mysterious temple near a once water-filled cave called a cenote. This area is said to lead directly to the Maya Underworld and is protected by a serpentine creature called the Tsukán.
