Disney Unlocks New Fortnite Connection for Millennium Falcon Ride

Disney's Star Wars-themed lands in California and Florida have introduced another new feature to their popular Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run ride. The ride, which allows guests to pilot Han Solo's iconic spaceship, has been updated with a new storyline that extends beyond the theme park experience.

The update is part of a collaboration between Walt Disney Imagineering and Epic Games, the studio behind Fortnite. Guests who ride the attraction can now unlock an exclusive Fornsworn Trooper Outfit for their avatar in Fortnite, a popular online game. The outfit is awarded based on the success of their mission onboard the ride.

The new feature allows guests to continue their experience at home by playing Smugglers Gambit, a free-to-play mode within Fortnite that takes place on the planet Ord Ryla. Players can team up with friends and complete co-op missions, battling pirates and Imperial remnants while unlocking new gear and building their reputation across the Outer Rim.

Guests can access the connectivity elements in the park by opening the Disneyland app (at Disneyland) or the My Disney Experience app (at Disney World) to accept Hondo's mission. The update is already live in the parks, with no additional cost to guests who ride the attraction.
