Disney Unveils 2026 Lineup with Exciting New Projects
Disney's D23 Entertainment Showcase is an annual event where fans can hear from their favorite stars, take photo opportunities, and experience announcements for upcoming Disney projects. The 2026 showcase was packed with exciting news, including new movies and TV shows.
The presentation started with a performance by the Dancing With the Stars cast, followed by introductions from Ginnifer Goodwin and Ke Huy Quan for Disney CEO Josh D'Amaro to discuss the company's goals. Anne Hathaway also made an appearance, promising that the team is taking their time to get Princess Diaries 3 just right.
Pixar animator Pete Docter was honored for his work on many iconic movies and gave a first glimpse at The Incredibles 3, which will follow Violet and Dash as they try to step out on their own. Coco 2 is also on the way, with an older Miguel seeking revenge against Ernesto De La Cruz.
The Marvel Studios section saw Kevin Feige announce the brand new X-Men cast for the first time, featuring Sadie Sink as Jean Grey, Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, and Adam Driver as Nathaniel Milbury. Dave Filoni discussed upcoming Star Wars projects, including Ahsoka season 2 and Starfighter.
The showcase also featured announcements from other Disney studios, including Walt Disney Animation Studios' Zootopia 3, Clay, Hexed, and Frozen 3. The event ended with a magical performance by Idina Menzel, Kristin Bell, and Josh Gad singing a little song of their own.
