Disney Unveils Ambitious Plans for New Rides and Experiences Across its Theme Parks
Disney is gearing up for a year of new attractions and experiences at its theme parks around the world. The company has announced eight new rides that will open in the next year, each offering a unique perspective on Disney's classic characters and stories.
One of the most highly anticipated rides is Antonio's Fiesta de Encanto, which will be part of the new Tropical Americas land at Walt Disney World's Animal Kingdom. The ride promises to bring the magic of Encanto to life with a slow-moving, musical dark ride experience.
Other notable rides include Sugar Rush: Sweet Rescue, a colorful and imaginative ride based on the Wreck-It Ralph video game; Space Mountain: Earthrise, a new iteration of the classic indoor coaster through the cosmos at Tokyo Disneyland; and Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent, which will repurpose the former DINOSAUR attraction at Animal Kingdom.
In addition to these rides, Disney is also introducing new lands and experiences at its parks. Monstropolis will open at Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World, bringing the city from Monsters, Inc. to real life. The land will be phased over two years, with Phase 1 featuring an indoor show and dining experiences.
