Disney Unveils Ambitious Theme Park Expansion with 22 New Rides and Attractions

Disney has announced an unprecedented expansion of its theme parks worldwide, with 22 new rides and attractions set to open in various locations. The company is investing heavily in new areas dedicated to popular franchises such as Disney Animation, Pixar, Marvel, and Lucasfilm. This growth is being spearheaded by new CEO Josh D'Amaro and Parks Chairman Thomas Mazloum.

One of the most exciting developments is the creation of Villains Land at Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World, which will feature a Maleficent roller coaster and a dark ride starring various Disney villains. The Coco boat ride, inspired by the popular film, will open at Disneyland Resort's Disney California Adventure, while Monstropolis will come to life at Disney's Hollywood Studios with a suspended roller coaster.

The Lion King log flume is set to debut at Disneyland Paris, and an overhauled Journey Into Imagination With Figment ride will open at EPCOT in 2028. Additionally, Disney is revamping Tomorrowland at Disneyland Park in California, although specifics are still under wraps.
