Disney Unveils Lakeshore Lodge Renderings Ahead of Florida Resort's July Opening
Walt Disney World Resort has unveiled new renderings of its upcoming Lakeshore Lodge in Florida. The resort, set to open on July 1, is described by Disney as 'the largest resort we've built in over a decade.' It will feature 967 rooms, including standalone A-frame accommodations known as Lake Houses.
Lakeshore Lodge's theming draws inspiration from Disney films set in nature, such as Bambi, Pocahontas, and Encanto. The resort's lobby will have floor-to-ceiling windows and a 'Colors of the Wind' sculpture made with hundreds of suspended blown-glass leaves.
The resort's recreation area, known as The Wetlands, will include a lazy river called Daydream River. Bookings for Disney Vacation Club members open on October 6, followed by reservations for Walt Disney World annual passholders on October 7, and all guests on October 8.
