Disney Unveils Live-Action 'Tangled' with Kathryn Hahn as Mother Gothel
The Walt Disney Company has unveiled its live-action adaptation of 'Tangled', set to hit theaters on March 31, 2028. At D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, fans got their first glimpse of Teagan Croft as Rapunzel and Kathryn Hahn as Mother Gothel.
The footage showed a medieval setting with Rapunzel's signature long blonde hair cascading down the stairs, before cutting to Croft as the beloved Disney princess. The crowd cheered when Hahn appeared as Mother Gothel, stepping out from behind a door in an alley and calling out 'Rapunzel!'
Kathryn Hahn spoke about taking on the iconic character, saying she was 'very humbled and flattered to be asked' and couldn't be more proud. She also praised her young co-stars Croft and Milo Manheim, who plays Flynn Rider in the upcoming adaptation.
