Disney Unveils New Lands and Rides for Disneyland and Disney World

Disney's latest fan convention D23 has unveiled a slew of new lands and rides set to debut at Disneyland and Disney World over the next few years. Villains Land, a themed expansion of Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World, will be the most anticipated project ever worked on by Walt Disney Imagineering.

The land will celebrate all the classic baddies from Disney films, with two main attractions: a roller coaster through Maleficent's fortress and a dark boat ride through the other side of the magic mirror. Construction is already underway for Villains Land, which will be positioned on the other side of Big Thunder Mountain.

Another major announcement was Cars-themed land at Disney World, with two new attractions: Miss Fritter's Daredevil Spin-Along and Cars Ridge Run Rally. The first ride features a school bus-sized animatronic of the character from Cars 3, while the second lets riders compete in a rally car race.

Disney also revealed details on Avengers Campus at California Adventure, which will double in size with two new rides: Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab. Both attractions are set to open in 2028, joining the existing Spider-Man Web Slingers and Guardians of the Galaxy.
