Disney Unveils New Logo for Florida Destination
The Walt Disney Company has unveiled a new logo design to commemorate its upcoming 55th anniversary at the Florida destination. The '55' logo is a play on words, with the rounded bottoms of the two '5's resembling Mickey Mouse ears sitting atop a retro globe icon.
The original globe icon was introduced in 1971 when Disney World first opened its gates to the public. In contrast, the logo for the company's 50th anniversary received mixed reactions from fans and critics alike.
The new design has been met with warm reception on social media platforms, particularly Twitter, where users have praised it as a 'super simple yet effective' design that is an improvement over the previous anniversary logo. One user commented, 'Massive improvement over the 50th wow,' while another added, 'Absolutely fire logo!'. Another summed up their thoughts by saying, 'How is everything they've released about the 55th so far leaps and bounds better than the 50th?'
