The Walt Disney Company and developer Miral have announced plans for the Middle East's first Disney theme park resort, located on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. This seventh Disney theme park will be a major addition to the region's entertainment district, which already includes Ferrari World, Warner Bros. World, SeaWorld, and the upcoming Sphere Abu Dhabi.

The new resort is being designed by Walt Disney Imagineering as 'the most advanced and interactive destination' in the company's portfolio. Concept art reveals a crystalline waterfront landmark that former Disney CEO Bob Iger has described as the company's first 'real modern castle.'

While no official opening date has been confirmed, industry reports suggest an early 2030s timeline. The project is expected to cost around $10 billion, with Miral fully financing and operating the resort.
