Disney Unveils Plans for Villains Land in Magic Kingdom

Disney has announced plans to develop Villains Land in its Magic Kingdom theme park. The new land will be called Villains Land, a name chosen to fit in with the rest of the park's themed areas.

The story behind Villains Land is centered around a corrupted Wishing Well that spilled bad magic throughout the surrounding forest, creating an environment perfect for Disney's villains to thrive. They have set up their palaces and lairs, inviting guests into a 'tantalizing treasure trove of treats, trinkets, and more temptations.'

The two main attractions in Villains Land will be a Maleficent-themed roller coaster that takes riders through enchanted briar to face off against the villain herself. The coaster is expected to feature unique elements not seen on other roller coasters.

The second ride will be a dark ride that transports guests through the Magic Mirror and into the Mirror Realm, where they'll encounter some of Disney's most wicked characters.
