Disney Unveils Revamped Parks with Futuristic Vision

Disney has announced major expansions to its Anaheim parks, including a reimagined Tomorrowland, an expanded Avengers Campus, and new attractions based on 'Coco' and 'Avatar.'

The reimagining of Tomorrowland will draw from Walt Disney's original vision of the land as a futuristic and optimistic depiction of the future. According to Imagineering's Disneyland Resort Executive Creative Producer Emo O'Brien, the team looked back at Walt's opening day speech for inspiration.

Another major project is the expansion of Avengers Campus in Disney California Adventure (DCA). The Marvel-themed area will double in size, debut two new attractions - Avengers Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab - and feature actors from the franchise reprising their roles.

The 'Coco' attraction, set a year after the events of the 2017 film, will take guests on a journey through the Land of the Dead. Construction has already begun, with the latest Audio-Animatronics technology being used to bring the characters to life.
