Disney Unveils Whimsical Wonderland Play Area at Hollywood Studios

Disney's Hollywood Studios has introduced a new indoor playground called Drawn to Wonderland, inspired by Mary Blair's Alice in Wonderland artwork. The play area is part of The Magic of Disney Animation and officially opened on September 14. The space takes over a former office area and is designed for children aged six months to five years old.

The playground features bold colors, whimsical shapes, and Blair's distinctive style. One side is dedicated to younger children (six months to two years), while the other caters to older kids (two to five years). The play area is divided into different sections, each inspired by a specific aspect of Alice in Wonderland.

Some notable features include a roller slide with a Cheshire Cat statue on top, fake stone pathways, and interactive elements such as spinning teacups and marbles. The playground also includes sensory elements like embedded marbles in the walls and a spinning play feature where guests can paint roses red or white. Additionally, there are padded benches for adults to rest and built-in outlets.

Guests can explore the Mad Hatter's house, which features an interactive tea party scene with fake stone pathways and flowers on the ground. The space also includes dandelions overlooking an interactive feature, giant flowers framing a small bridge, and singing flowers on the walls. Safety information is posted at the front of the playground, reminding guests that children must be supervised at all times.
